The use of IV sedation in dental practice has given many, the ultimate comfort in the dental setting. We are truly grateful for the positive feedback we have received from our patients. The following is a small sample of our own patient’s experiences:

Tooth colored restorations, crowns and skin grafting:
“I am scared to death of the dentist.  Having the IV sedation made it so easy.  It is like going in to take a nap and waking up with all your dental work done.  The staff made me feel very comfortable.” S.R.

Crown and several restorations:
“I have difficulty getting numb.  The IV sedation made the procedures very easy.” P.W.

Several restorations, apicoectomy, extraction of wisdom teeth and root planing:
“IV sedation helped me with my very bad gag reflex.  The IV staff has been wonderful.” D.R.

Full mouth periodontal surgery:
“A few years ago, I needed periodontal surgery on my gums.  I had the option of doing it in four sessions, two sessions or all at once under IV sedation. I chose to have it done all at once under IV sedation. I chose to have it done all at once because I would miss less time from work and spend less time at the dentist’s office. There were only two days of discomfort. I only missed two days of work instead of up to eight. I had only one healing period instead up to four and I only had to deal with insurance stuff once.  Should I ever need surgery again, will I drag it out or do it all at once? All at once!” R. B.

Extraction of impacted wisdom teeth:
“I came in and sat down.  The IV was started and I immediately fell into a very relaxing sleep.  When I awoke a short time later, the procedure was done.  All I remember was being completely relaxed and comfortable.  IV sedation is absolutely the way to go!” S.L.

Periodontal surgery, bone grafting and impacted wisdom teeth removal:
“The IV sedation allowed the procedure to be as comfortable as possible. The surgery was rather extensive. I am very pleased with the results of this method. I would recommend this approach. The staff was great!” D.B.

Full arch periodontal surgery:
“I had no pain, even on coming out of the sedation.  I would highly recommend IV sedation for surgery.” D.A.

Bridge preparation, root planning, extractions and periodontal surgery:
“The IV sedation allowed Dr. Denny to do as much as possible in one visit to get my teeth and gums in the condition they need to be.  I experienced very little pain or discomfort after the sedation.” N.R.

Sinus lift and bone grafting prior to implant placement:
“The procedure was simple and the sedation process was quick and painless. I experienced no unexpected complications after the procedure. Recovery was well within my expectations and I believe recovery was quicker than if I had not been sedated.” J.P.
